How to Keep Hot Tub Water Clean using the Happy Hot Tubs Premium Starter Kit

Please note this is only a simplified guide, lots of factors come into play when balancing water and this routine may not work in every situation depending on usage, source water and other factors.

• Keep chlorine level at 3-5ppm to ensure your hot tub water is bacteria free. Add chlorine granules directly to the water with the jets on to increase the chlorine level (dose quantity varies depending on volume – use guidance on bottle and measuring spoons).
• Keep your PH level at 7.2 to 7.6 to ensure your chlorine is as efficient as possible and to ensure the water does not affect your skin. Use PH Plus to increase PH level and PH Minus to decrease PH level (dose quantity varies depending on volume – use guidance on bottle and measuring spoons).
• Keep your filter clean. Use the Instant Filter Cleaner once a week or once a fortnight depending on hot tub usage. Spray on to the filter, wait 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.
• Add non chlorine shock when clarity is poor and/or weekly. Helps your chlorine to work more efficiently and assists with clarity/foaming and improves general bather experience.
• Test your water before use to ensure water is balanced. Also test once a week when you clean your filters and add non chlorine shock to ensure water is kept balanced.
