This floating sponge has a unique foam that will absorb up to 40 times its weight in oils and lotions. It prevents a scum line forming in your hot tub. Simply float it in your hot tub or in your skimmer and when one side is dirty just flip it over!
Why is my hot tub surface oily?
Generally this is from bathers. Products such as sun lotion, deodorant and moisturiser will all leave grease or oil in the water. If your filter is clogged or there is excess oil, it will tend to form on the surface and form a scum line in your hot tub.
How do I prevent this from happening?
In an ideal world hot tub users would shower before use to make sure no oils are taken in but we appreciate that sometimes you just want to jump in!
Will this sponge get stuck in the pipework?
Most hot tubs will have a weir or skimmer lid that will prevent the sponge from going down into your pipework but you must make sure that the sponge is removed and/or your hot tub is off when you remove your hot tub filters.
