Why does scale build up on my spa surface? This is due to calcium hardness in your water, which remains suspended in the water until your PH is imbalanced. When your PH goes out of balance, scale/calcium will no longer be suspended and will start forming on your hot tub surfaces.

How do I remove large amounts of scale from my spa water? You would need to drain your hot tub, thoroughly clean and re-fill. For small amounts you can vac out using a Spa Vac and clean your filters more regularly to remove this build-up.

Why does scale only seem to build-up after a water change? This is probably because the PH of your hose water is unbalanced according to the water in your area and is not being balanced straight after re-filling your hot tub.

Will ‘No Scale’ affect my Chlorine / Bromine level? No, it is a neutral chemical, therefore your Chlorine / Bromine level will be unaffected.
